Kahunka Health and Fitness

Back from vacation

March 14, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Hi Everyone!! I’m very busy the next few weeks working on my other businesses ( the ones that actually make money ) so Kahunka is on the back burner right now.

This is when it pays to be a member because I’ve been adding cutting edge resources to the backstage area. There is a lot of stuff there that will influence the anti aging section I’m working on.

Backstage is also much more metaphysical than the public area and will be until I finish my metaphysical fitness article that will establish the link between your thoughts and beliefs and your health.

And finally you’ll find links to the best alternative health sites on the internet backstage…that is if you are someone who takes charge of their own health…

New Energy Body Video in Member’s Area

March 14, 2007 · 1 Comment

The foundational idea behind my fitness site is that to obtain otimal levels of health and fitness you have got to understand and act on the fact that your body is a collection of pure energy fields interacting with the rest of the universe which is also a vast collection of quantum energy fields.

Life = constant exchange of energy in one form or another.

I’ve added a great 7 minute video that does a fantastic job explaning the vibrational energetic nature of our bodies and the universe.

This video is now showing in the member’s area.

The Spiritual Side of Fitness

December 3, 2006 · Leave a Comment

If you have followed this blog lately you might be so inclined to think that I tend to focus more on the spiritual stuff rather than fitness and muscle.

This is simply because I don’t believe you can have a well rounded health and fitness site without including this aspect.

You cannot just focus on your body and expect to achieve optimal health and fitness because you are NOT your body.

The body is a tool used by the “real non-physical you” to experience this physical dimension through its five senses and for some people, six senses.

Without going too far down this path I just want to say that many people make the mistake of believing that they are in fact what they see in the mirror and that that entity is in responsible for the creation of their life, happiness and so on.

The “real you” is the spirit, soul or energy being that inhabits your body. This is the source of thought, desires, intention, will and the creative power that has great control over the trillions of individual life forms that are all working together to make up your physical body.

You are a collection of trillions of individual life forms. When your cells feel good, you feel good. When your cells get sick you get sick.

How you see yourself, how you see the world, what you think about life, how you respond to circumstances that may arise in your life and so on all affect these trillions of individual life forms that make up what you see in the mirror.

This brings us to the whole point of this post.

To build muscle, lose weight or however you want to transform your body starts with the “real you.”

You have to align your desires (real you) and beliefs (real you) with your thoughts (real you) to get the best results (body).

As you can see from my picture above I have lost quite a bit of muscle (almost 20 pounds) during the almost two months I have not been working out.

My body is a combination of roughly 70% ectomorph and 30% mesomorph so while building muscle for me is not as hard as it would be if I where a pure ectomorph, it still comes with a challenge.

Since I am going to be concentrating my thoughts on packing some muscle back on I will be working more on adding content to my muscle page.

Here are few posts you might get some good ideas from…

December 1, 2006 · 1 Comment

I first started taking the Ultimate Meal about six years ago and there is not a month that goes by that I don’t consume at least two cans of it.

If you are trying to pack on muscle and are working on adding extra calories to your diet the Ultimate Meal is perfect because it provides 16 grams of quality quinoa, brown rice and yellow pea protein per serving and if you don’t think plant based proteins can build muscle, go feel how hard the muscles on a race horse ( or any horse ) are.

Maybe even more important for building a strong lean physic is the quality of food that you use to build it with. The Ultimate meal is packed with quality ingredients, here are just a few…

  • Organic quinoa
  • Organic millet
  • Golden flax seed
  • Spirulina
  • Freeze-dried broccoli

When you are working out hard your body loves easily digestible and highly bioavailable nutrient-dense foods that the Ultimate Meal provides.

For all you boomers out there looking for a single product that you can get many of the latest ant-aging ingredients in, the Ultimate Meal fits the bill.

The Ultimate Spiritual Experience?

November 20, 2006 · Leave a Comment

I want to share a book wth you guys I actually had to pay for that is now being offered for free by the author.

If you read my site you’l know I’m big on meditation and recommend it to everyone.

Flight of the Navigator may seem a little deep if you’ve never taken a peek into the metaphysical realm but the book reads easy and is full of enlightening information…

Here’s a short message from the Author and a link for you to download your free copy.

Michael

Dear Friend,

I am about to share something extraordinary with you.

Your whole life has been a search for meaning, purpose, and completeness. You are aware of a sense within you that seemingly directs you as if it were a compass navigating your essence.

This navigator gives you a sense of knowing; directing you away from the trappings of mans’ religions and structured thinking. It is elusive to structural thinking.

An in-between place that defies logic as humanity understands it. Your hidden senses tell you, that what your eyes see and hands touch, is not all that there is. You look around in a distant way and then you listen deeply, breathe deeply, feel deeply. It is then that you know that there is a veil between you and some other place that holds an understanding to that which you are.

Then, without seemingly knowing, you want, and need, to become one with IT.

Do you remember?

This book is a journey towards remembering. It is going to give you answers to the secrets you have kept hidden within you for your entire life…..READ ON and get this book…

Kahunka’s Miracle Salmon Steak Video

  Kahunka’s Miracle Salmon Steak  Video

There is a mountain of evidence showing the benefits of fish oil on our health some of which include

  • Reduction of triglycerides
  • Improved brain function
  • Heart health
  • Skin and hair health/beauty
  • Alleviating depression
  • Many other benefits…

The powerful ingredient in our salmon steak that makes it so healthy is type of polyunsaturated fat known as omega 3.

Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid that is not manufactured in the body so we have to get it from the foods we eat.

“Omega-3 fatty acids benefit the heart of healthy people, and those at high risk of — or who have — cardiovascular disease.

We recommend eating fish (particularly fatty fish) at least two times a week.  Fish is a good source of protein and doesn’t have the high saturated fat that fatty meat products do.  Fatty fish like mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines, albacore tuna and salmon are high in two kinds of omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).” – American Heart Association

There is some controversy surrounding the contaminants like mercury that may be found in fish but apparently the reward triumphs the risk in this case…READ ON>>>>>

“Reverse your Girth” Diet – Free Diet Plan

November 20, 2006 · 6 Comments

A few weeks ago as I was pigging down three sirloin burgers and nearly a nearly a six pack of beer over the course of an afternoon at a friends birthday pool party, the thought crossed my mind as whether I was being a good example to the readers of my site.

After all isn’t stuffing yourself with alcohol, potato chips and barbequed red meat more or less an unhealthy thing to do?

So I’ve decided to come clean and let you in on my diet secret and even show you a practical plan you can follow if you want to do the same thing.

I call this amazing  fat-melting, body building diet my…

“Reverse your Girth” Diet

You see most (meaning 90% or more) of the time I eat stuff like plain oatmeal with soy milk, skinless chicken breast cooked in olive oil, stewed tomatoes, vegetables, fruit, beans, tofu, sushi, the muscle pizza and the living foods shake.

Now this is important….

I don’t have the “I can never eat this or that” attitude about food. In fact once a week or maybe a couple of times over the course of a few weeks I will eat whatever I want and how ever much of it I want.

I think as soon as you say “I can never have,” you will “always want.”

For me it’s easier to eat healthy most of the time when I know that I can eat whatever I want a “little” of  it.

(1) First thing to do is change your belief of what a “diet” really is. Most of us think a “diet” is something you do when you reduce the amount of food you eat and eat unpleasant tasting foods for the sake of weight loss.

Nothing could be farther from the truth!…READ ON>>>>

Cut trans fats and these other ingredients from your diet for health

October 3, 2006 · 7 Comments

Michael’s “Cut the big bad 4″ diet.

Sometimes on MySpace and other online communities people ask me what I eat to keep my body the way it is and generally the following is my response.

I don’t think it is even as much about what to eat that may be as important as what NOT to eat.

If you are out of shape and are looking for a way to get started back on the track to health consider starting with only cutting the following items from your diet.

In other words if you are confused about what or what not to eat for health, if the food you are considering has any of the following ingredients, don’t eat it….OK, OK I know that will be tough but at least try to cut them out as much as possible.

Michael’s top 4 worst foods for the human body:

  • White sugar and anything with “ose” in it like fructose, sucrose etc.
  • White Flour and any products with white flour in them
  • Trans fats and anything that contains them
  • Hydrogenated fats and anything that contains them

As much as possible, keep these ingredients from entering your body.
